What is caustic soda?

Baking soda or caustic soda is used to improve dyeing and fiber production in textiles. The presence of fats in the dyeing process leads to a decrease in its quality and transparency. For this reason, these fats should be removed using substances such as sodium hydroxide. In addition, caustic soda is used to descale sheep’s wool and produce good quality fibers.
